MURANO VENICE LADY SCULPTURE blown opaline & red paste glass, gold SEGUSO style

The sculpture has no signatures but is easily attributable to the work of the italian artists Archimede Seguso or Ercole Barovier. The particular beauty and value of this sculpture reside in the use of a milky white glass paste for the central body of the lady, the limbs, the hat and the inside of the head, while the clothes and the outside of the head are made with. To cover the entire initial base of the sculpture itself, in fact made of white glass paste.

The laces of the sleeves are in transparent glass enriched with inclusions of gold dust, as well as in the bodice. Finally, the skirt is embellished with thin lines in relief made of red glass paste, applied hot, by hand, one by one, equidistant from each other.
