Tapio Wirkkala triple color art crystal glass sculpture 1950s Iittala 3289
Tapio Wirkkala glass crystal art sculpture with triple color: Clear glass body with red glass inside covered by a layer of green glass. Absolutely stunning early 1950's art piece.
Presented in Triennale Milan 1951. Mouth blown and sculpted freely by hand. I don't know why. I cannot find anything wrong from the piece. Normal size, good shape, good colors, fully finished.
There is small amount of tiny air bubbles or other impurities inside the glass material but I have seen objects with much more air bubbles/ impurities inside which had signature. I quarantee the object is fully authentic.
Stands approx 9 cm (3'5") tall with a 9 cm (3'5") diameter. No cracks, no repairs or deep scratches and no chips missing. Only small signs of use and age such as small surface "hair scratches" or other similar normal signs.Rare collector piece and hard to find. I post world wide and wrap with care.
